Dale Wells-Marshall

Dale is a mother to two beautiful children, and an educator of 14 years’ experience in both Primary and Junior High School. She is a Naturalista, children's event planner, mompreneur speaker , certified Youth Development Leader and facilitator and author.
The inspiration for her choosing to have a girl of color as the protagonist in a science fiction story, comes from her desire to find books with brown girls for her daughter that didnt just have a girl wanting to be a princess. "Being a princess is wonderful and it's important to revel in your feminine power, which is a part of being a princess. Still, the world needs more of our women than pink and pretty faces. I believe we should raise a village of women that are bold, powerful, smart and ready to conquer every domain of the future, be it beauty, space, science or the homefrofnt. I want to be a part of the change that manifests that strong village"
Empowering children has forever been her passion and purpose. Through creative extracurricular programs and summer camps, she has done just that over the years. The Rose Club, apart of her Before they Bloom initiative, was a non-profit program she established at the Bartlett Hill Primary in Grand Bahama, in 2007- 2012 for at-risk and excelling girls. She has been instrumental in providing etiquette, grooming, exposure, self confidence, responsibility and sisterhood to the Eight Mile Rock Community with profound support from private mentors and businesses.
In 2009, she founded the Summer Belles Etiquette camp, which offered Empowerment and Etiquette to a wider audience during the summer months. It bought yoga, healthy eating, pampering, nature appreciation, self defense, creative self expression and deportment to attendees.
Mrs Marshall has also founded and hosted community events that bought together mothers and their young daughters. She can be found on a sandy beach, immersed in the beautiful waters of The Bahamas, spending quality time with her daughter and son, attending environmental lectures or events or as a Youth Leader, facilitaing the development of Youth Environmental A.mbassadors
